This event wouldn’t be what it is today without the passionate support of fans and community members, who come together year-after-year to support each other–to support the spirit this event embodies: the community of fandom.
Thank you to everyone who attended! Your enthusiasm for RoberCon is what fuels us every year. We loved hearing your stories, sharing your experiences, and seeing your smiles.
Thank you to our sponsors: Visions, SUNY Broome, Raymond, Binghamton CW, Binghamton Central School District, and WSKG. The event would not be what it is without your contributions and support.
Thank you to the over 40 vendors and fan groups who transformed the Museum and Mansion into a mall filled with all of our favorite things from creative works, tabletop games, books, comics, illustrations, and music. Your talents are to be applauded.
Thank you to our organizers who wrangled game masters, coordinated panels, ran our costume contest, and made sure all the technical stuff was set-up and running. You use your talents for the forces of good, and we thank you for being so generous with your time and spending it on this event.
Thank you to our panelists for sharing your passion and engaging guests in important discussions from why Black Panther is so important for people of color to finding yourself through cosplay. Whether it’s cosplay or the Bear Challenge, you are bringing people together. You are helping to connect us to one another and think more deeply about the things we love.
Thank you to our volunteers, who worked behind the scenes of the event. You flipped tables like bosses, welcomed guests into the convention hall with glowing smiles, and became our eyes and ears during the event when our staff could not be everywhere.
Thank you to everyone for creating a safe space for one another–where we can all come to express ourselves and delight in the fandoms that have become such a big part of our lives. We could not do any of this without you.
We’ll see you again September 28 – 29, 2019.
