The two day fan convention in Binghamton, NY. If you love tabletop games, sci-fi, fantasy, comic books, and all manner of fandom, welcome home.

Proceeds from the event go to support Roberson Museum and Science Center’s education and outreach programs in the local area.

Vendors and Fan Groups

We’re constantly updating our list of vendors and fan groups who will be in attendance at this year’s RoberCon. Check back for updates.

This year we’re expecting a number of artists, crafters, publishers, and authors to line our halls during RoberCon.

  • Gerrit S. Overeem – Sci-fi author of Second Life of Mr. Hunt, about a man out of time who has been pulled out of his eternal slumber to help humanity survive.
  • Green Dragon – Selling fine-crafted beaded jewelry and photos of mystical places.

  • Cemetery Gates Media – Book publisher specializing in paranomal folklore, dark comedies, and horror, selling books written by local authors.
  • Zombies Need Brains – Professional-quality sci-fi and fantasy anthologies. They will also have art prints, ZNB merchandise (hats, totes, stuffed animals), and more.
  • Otaku Corner – Selling all hand-made and hand-drawn works, plushies, furry tails and ears, some clothing, prints, buttons, keychains, and more. 
  • Muckles’ Ink – Live printed tees with exclusive designs just for RoberCon.
  • SUNY Broome – Find your future at Broome County’s local community college, right here in Binghamton, NY
  • MysticSage Emporium – Original illustrations and unique jewlery designs.
  • Knits and Hats – Selling hats, hair clips, jewerly, pins, and knitted things.
  • Jason and the Draconauts – What happens when dragons return in the 21st century? Find out by exploring this YA book series by author Paul D. Smith.
  • Curious Turtle Books – Find the finest in fantastika science fiction, fantasy, horror, weird fiction, magical realism, slipstream); fairy tales, folk literature, and mythology; books on reading, writing, and books themselves; “difficult” and experimental fiction, gathered from across the globe.
  • Felix Eddy – Steampunk and geeky artwork and embroidery.
  • SewMuchMore – Handmade costumes, embroidered items, and exercise-wear for women who like to run, but also want to dress like Wonder Woman.
  • Surprise Comics – Selling comic books, sets, and framed art straight from beautiful Owego.
  • Uncommon Universes Press – Sharing stories in the steampunk, horror, paranormal romance, epic fantasy, or space opera genre–with unique twists and compelling conflicts.
  • Leonine Productions – An independent film production and publishing studio right in Waverly, NY.
  • The Art of Jonathan and Lola Myers – Science fiction, fantasy, horror, fable, and folklore art work.
  • Crafts by Lee – Custom crafts and blankets.
  • Momma Kat’s Steampunk Gypsy Clairvoyant Services – Mystic arts at your service.
  • Apokrupha – We love stories, and publish them. Our LampLight literary magazine delves into the emotion of fear has a long history in fiction.
  • Bear Challenge – We sell items related to our panel, the Bear Challenge.
  • Jill Hoffman Illustration – Jill Hoffman’s Illustrative work is presented as “The Dreamwood” and is inspired by animal symbolism, folk tales, surrealism, and mythology. The vendor booth will include art prints, greeting cards, painted lake stones, original art, and stone pendant jewelry.
  • ETs Designs – ETs is a family collaboration. Artist and author of Daffodil, Evan Taylor (ET) Stevens, creates original and fan art pieces in various media. The table will also feature charms, zippered bags, and stickers.
  • All Wright Toys & Collectibles – Vintage toys, comics, Funko Pop Vinyl figures, Star Wars black series, Marvel legend action figures, Loot crate exclusive, bargain bins, etc.
  • Pavlik Photo and Design – Green Screen Photos and custom prints and buttons (they also took and touched up the photos from last year’s costume contest).
  • XS Energy – Get a boost with some prepackaged vitamin-based, sugar-free energy drinks with 17 natural flavors.
  • GrayElf Graphics – Freelance artist/ musician. Specializing in acrylic and blacklight paintings of animals and fantasy creatures. Also for sale: Art prints, critter badges, anime style artwork, wooden creatures, faux fur animal tails and music-themed artwork. Offering custom-made paintings, artwork and made-to-order pieces. New this year: Hand-painted violins. Come by and listen to live music on an LED-lit electric violin.
  • Binghamton Philharmonic – This October and November the Binghamton Philharmonic is putting on two stunning shows–Psycho and Video Games Live.

Potions RoberCon

Fan Groups

We have a number of fan groups in attendance this year, from non-profit groups with a geeky bent to local TV networks. Check back for updates to the list.

  • School Librarians of the Southern Tier-East – An organization supporting school libraries, librarianship, and literacy.
  • International Federation of Trekkers USS Vengeance – A non-profit Star Trek Fan Club who meet locally in Binghamton, NY.
  • DTM Wicked Radio – DTM Wicked Productions is a network that brings all genres of the entertainment industry together.
  • Wolfbain Productions – Independent horror films production company.
  • Empirical Paranormal – A paranormal team from the Binghamton area, investigating, educating, podcasting, and running charity events.
  • WBNG / Binghamton’s CW – Local affiliate of the CW network, which features The superhero shows Super Girl, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow, and fan favorite Riverdale.
  • Shire of Sterlynge Vayle – SCA Inc – Hail! Come ye brave souls to this table of a Medieval re-enactment group.
  • That Indie Studio – Come check out this video game company working on their first title: The Last Hex, the dead have risen and only you can stand against them in this roguelike RPG, which features a card-based battle system.
  • Binghamton Area Tabletop Society – Binghamton Area Tabletop Society exists to promote and provide a regular, safe, and public environment for playing tabletop games in Broome County.
  • USS Vengeance NFC-3301 – A Star Trek fan group dedicated to promoting the “humanistic philosophies and ideals portrayed in the Star Trek myths…”
  • Kingdom of Novitas – KoN (Kingdoms of Novitas) is a Live-Action Roleplaying Game located in Central New York.
  • U.S.S. Serling – A Star Trek fan club, affiliated with Starfleet International
  • TriCity LARP – Local LARP group that meets twice a month. Based in the Binghamton area, and run games in Owego and Big Flats.
  • Amtgard: The Barony of Two Rivers Point – A Live Action Role Play group, of Amtgard, who play every sunday at 1pm at recreation park.
  • Otakon – Yes, the Anime convention in Washington, DC will be coming to table at RoberCon.
