Virtual RoberCon’s panels and activities will take place across two online platforms: Discord and Zoom.
Both of these platforms are free to use and can be used on a desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile device. However, accessing the content within Zoom (the panels and workshop) will require a virtual badge. Everything on Discord is free and open to access.
- Discord requires an account, which you can get by going to discord.com
- Use the free, dedicated app or in a browser
- Use this link to Join the RoberCon server: https://discord.gg/Mp5aaUd
- You can also follow the link above to gain access to the server and follow the instructions to create an account.
Here’s a quick video explaining how to use certain functions in the Discord server.
Panels, writing workshops, special guest Q&As, readings, and other events will be hosted within Zoom webinars and meetings. Virtual Badge holders will be sent special links to register for any and sessions hosted on this platform.
Once you register, a reminder email and link will be sent to you.
Attendees will be able to watch and listen, participating by texting in the chat.
Zoom is free to use in a browser or through a free app, and an account is not required to view a webinar.
