What is RoberCon?
RoberCon is a fan convention, which means all flavors of geek culture are represented from comic books to sci-fi, tabletop gaming, and cosplay. The convention takes place every year in September downtown Binghamton, NY.
It’s not a big convention, usually boasting around 1,000 attendees with plenty of room to wiggle inside the venue.
RoberCon also has an altruistic mission in that proceeds from this event go directly back into educational outreach initiatives through Roberson Museum (where the convention is held).
Sep 28 – 29 from 9:30AM – 5PM

What can I expect to do at RoberCon?
Connect with people through panels, tabletop gaming, convention halls, and writing, chainmaille, and podcasting workshops. There’s also a cosplay contest on Sunday and late-night gaming in the Mansion on Saturday after the convention.
There are two exhibitor halls (usually overflowing) with merchants selling books, art, plushies, figurines, games, and all manner of geek-related items. There will also be over 10 fan groups to connect with and join.
Am I welcome at RoberCon?
Yes. Plain and simple. We made this convention for geeks, so we could connect with other people who like the things we like. We made it to connect with you.
We have a handicap-accessible building complete with elevators, ramps, and wide hallways. This convention isn’t overcrowded. There are two wheelchairs available on-site for use.
There are also two single-use bathrooms on the first floor designated for all-genders.
Convention-goers will also be able to put their name and preferred pronoun on their badges this year.
When will badges go on sale?
Discounted early-bird badges will go on sale May 1. Regular badge sales will begin June 1. At the door badges will be available September 28 – 29.
